Extrusion and Laminating

Flexoplast packaging films are produced through blown film extrusion technology. PE-resins are fed into an extruder, which heat and melt the resins.

Blow Extrusion in Wieringerwerf

The majority of our films are produced through blown extrusion. PE resins are fed into an extruder which heats and melt the resin. The fluid melt is pressed into a die head which blows the bubble. The Blow Up Ration (BUR) is determined by the size of the head and the amount of pressurized air.

Flexoplast can produce up to 5-layer coex-films including barriers suchs as Polyamide and EVOH.
Lamination is the process of creating a multi-layer film by glueing the materials on one another.

There are many different applications for coex and laminated films. Flexoplast is offering a wide range of different multi-layer structures for the various applications in the market. We can apply oxygen barriers, aroma barriers and/or gas barriers to the film we are producing.
